Simon Hästö is Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Midguard Systems Ab, a Finland-based motor developer in Vaasa working on BLDC motors for UAV and autonomous platforms.
Professional background
Simon's background is in industrial management, production leadership, operations and logistics. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Management.
His experience connects production, logistics and customer requirements, with a focus on reliable delivery and practical commercial planning.
Role at Midguard Systems
At Midguard Systems, Simon leads business development, commercial strategy, OEM partnerships, financing and the operational build-up of the company. He is the first point of contact for UAV manufacturers and industrial partners evaluating the Midguard 3220 motor platform.
His work includes structuring OEM evaluation programs, aligning qualification and volume requirements, and developing the operational base for repeatable pilot production in Finland.
Simon works alongside Co-Founder and CTO Mikael Holmqvist, who leads motor architecture, engineering, testing and production development. The two roles are deliberately complementary: commercial and operations on one side, engineering and manufacturing on the other.
